Keep busy can help you keep the weight off
Friday
I have to be careful that I am making time for exercise. Strength training is easier to fit into my schedule than cardio because strength training takes less time. I have been walking more when I shop, however, parking farther away and going up and down all the aisles.
Getting up from the computer at least every hour and moving around has really help - I also keep a set of dumbbells and a resistance band near my desk for easy access.
Planning my meals has been important. Reportedly, nearly 40 percent of women admit to bypassing breakfast on a regular basis to save time. One study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that women consumed 100 more calories during the day when they didn't eat breakfast than they did when they ate cereal. I make sure I have healthy snacks on hand - I grab an apple, a banana, or protein bar.
I also have been trying to eat small bits throughout the day because going too long without eating causes my body to switch into energy-conservation mode, meaning I burn calories at a slower rate.

My mom could learn from you.She works at a comp all day, too. She's interested in what I'm doing but doesn't sound too committed yet.
i also keep one of the big exercise balls nearby and you can sit on it and it exercises your core
I know I eat less if I'm busy. Being a stay at home mom with kids who are in school makes that hard. My children are 17 and 13, so most of my business is after school hours. That means I'm home with a fridge during the day...UGH!! It's very hard...
it can work both ways - sometimes a person is too busy to eat healthy.... or to busy to eat as much :) I prefer the latter.
Thanks for stopping by my blog:) Your post title says it all for me today... I used to eat out of boredom and habit. All day, some days. Actually, I started my blog for motivation and accountability but found that it is great at keeping me from eating. So is visiting other blogs:) For me, hands on the keyboard are not hands stuffing my face.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! And it's my favorite :D
Sounds like you have a good plan for keeping busy all day long. Every step you take is some extra calories burned! Great tips here.
